Start your day at the top of the world with a trip up the Burj Khalifa to the observation decks on the 124th and 125th floors. The views from up there are genuinely breathtaking, stretching across the Dubai skyline, the Arabian Gulf, and the desert beyond in every direction.

From the heights of the city, head down to the depths of the ocean at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo inside Dubai Mall. Holding over 10 million litres of water, it is one of the largest suspended aquariums in the world and home to thousands of marine creatures including sharks, rays, and hundreds of exotic species. The 48-metre walk-through tunnel gives you a 270-degree view of marine life swimming all around you in a way that never gets old.

Both attractions are right next to each other inside or just outside Dubai Mall, making this an easy, convenient, and genuinely spectacular half day out in the heart of Dubai.

Itinerary

Make your way to Downtown Dubai. Both attractions are located at Dubai Mall which is easily accessible by metro, taxi, or private car. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time slot for the Burj Khalifa.

Take the high-speed elevator to the 124th and 125th floor observation decks. Spend time taking in the views using the telescopes and observation areas before heading back down.

With both attractions inside or next to Dubai Mall, take a short walk through the mall to the aquarium. This is also a good time to grab lunch or refreshments at one of the many dining options available.

Enter the aquarium and begin your walk through the 48-metre tunnel surrounded by thousands of marine creatures. Head upstairs to the Underwater Zoo and explore the themed zones including Living Ocean, Rocky Shore, and Rainforest before finishing your visit.

Head back through Dubai Mall or stay a while longer to explore the shopping, dining, and the famous Dubai Fountain outside before making your way home.
