There are buildings you visit, and then there are buildings that genuinely change the way you think. The Museum of the Future sits firmly in the second category. From the outside, it is already one of the most striking structures on Sheikh Zayed Road, a torus-shaped building covered in Arabic calligraphy that has quickly become one of the most photographed landmarks in the city. But the real experience is what happens inside.
Each floor takes you into a different version of the future. You will walk through immersive environments exploring what space travel might look like in 2071, how artificial intelligence is reshaping daily life, what sustainable cities could become, and how human health and wellbeing are being reimagined. This is not a museum in the traditional sense where you read labels and look at things in glass cases. It pulls you into the ideas and asks you to think, feel, and engage with them properly.
At Ujem Travel and Tourism, we book your tickets in advance so you arrive with entry confirmed and no time wasted at the counter. Tickets sell out regularly so booking ahead is genuinely important here.
The museum is generally open from 10am to 6pm. However, hours can change on public holidays or for special events. We recommend checking the latest timings before your visit, and the Ujem team is always happy to help confirm this when you book. Your ticket is valid only for the specific date and time selected at checkout so please plan accordingly.
Yes, the museum is designed to engage visitors of all ages and the interactive nature of the exhibits makes it genuinely enjoyable for older children and teenagers. Children under 4 enter free of charge, but their complimentary ticket must be picked up at the Museum of the Future ticket counter on arrival rather than booked online. Children generally respond very well to the immersive environments, especially the space and technology themed floors.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the Museum of the Future. There are on-site cafes available within the venue where you can purchase refreshments during or after your visit. Given that a full visit can take 2 to 3 hours, it is worth factoring in a short cafe break if you are visiting with young children.
