The banana boat ride is one of those activities that sounds simple but delivers an absolutely brilliant time every single visit. An inflatable banana-shaped tube is towed behind a speedboat along Dubai’s gorgeous coastline and your only job is to hold on, laugh, and try not to fall off.
As the speedboat picks up speed and the waves start bouncing the tube around, the whole group gets tossed, tilted, and drenched together in one big burst of shared excitement. It is genuinely hilarious and one of the most fun group water activities you can do in Dubai.
With stunning views of the coastline, the warm Arabian Gulf waters all around you, and the city skyline in the distance, it is also a surprisingly beautiful setting for what is essentially 15 minutes of pure chaos and laughter. Great for families, friend groups, couples, and corporate team outings.
Make your way to the banana boat departure point. Bring your Emirates ID or passport for verification and your own swimwear and towel. The activity requires a minimum of two participants so confirm your group size when booking.
Before getting on the water, trained staff will walk you through a quick safety briefing covering how to hold on, what to do if you fall off, and the basic rules of the ride. Life jackets are fitted for everyone.
Board the banana boat and hold on tight. The speedboat sets off and the real fun begins as you bounce over waves, tilt through turns, and try your best to stay on while everyone around you screams with laughter. The 15-minute ride flies by.
Return to shore, collect your things, and dry off. Whether you stayed on the whole time or got flung into the water, you will finish with a big smile and great stories to tell.
All participants are strongly encouraged to be comfortable in the water and able to stay afloat independently. Life jackets are provided throughout the ride and trained staff are present at all times for safety.
Absolutely. No experience is required at all. The safety briefing before the ride covers everything you need to know and staff are on hand throughout to ensure everyone is safe and having fun.
Bring your own swimwear, a towel, and a valid Emirates ID or passport for identification. Personal food and drinks are not available on site so come prepared.
